Volunteers

In January 2007, the Park Sharon Board of Directors implemented a Risk Management Resolution to help ensure the safety of our players and to protect the integrity of our organization. This resolution requires that all persons volunteering for a position of coach, assistant coach, team parent, or other position that interacts with players to submit to a background check and to sign a Volunteer Covenant Statement. This applies to all Park Sharon sports. Approved volunteer status is valid for 3 years.

To further enhance the Risk Management at Park Sharon, beginning in Fall 2007 approved volunteers will be issued a PSAA Volunteer ID badge. Coaches and Asst. Coaches will be required to show their ID badge to the game official prior to the game or match. Other volunteers will be required to wear their ID badge when working at the concession stand or participating in any other player activity.

Park Sharon encourages all parents to complete the volunteer registraion process. You never know when you may decide you want to join in the fun and help out with practices or games!

The Park Sharon Volunteer Registration is a three step process:

1. Click Here to complete the online registration form. It is not necessary to register for more than one role, sport, or season -- a master list is maintained that comprises all of this information.  *Please see the note below if you are a MAC user.
2. Click Here to print and sign the Volunteer Covenant Statement. Please return to the PSAA Risk Manager, League Athletic Directors, or Sports Commissioners.
3. Obtain your Park Sharon Volunteer ID card.  Dates to have pictures made for the IDs will be announced each season and the Volunteer ID cards will not be distributed unless the first two steps have been completed.

*NOTE -- The online registration form does not support MAC users at this time.  If you are a MAC user, please download and print the Offline Volunteer Registration form.  After completing and signing this form, please return it to the Park Sharon Risk Manager, along with the signed Volunteer Covenant Statement, in order to continue processing your registration.
