6U Co-Ed Instructional League

This league is designed for boys and girls 5-6 years old. A child’s basketball age is determined by their age on August 1 of the current year.

This league plays on Saturday mornings at Smithfield Elementary. The teams are generally limited to no more than 7 or 8 players per team. Each team spends about 45 minutes each Saturday morning working on drills and skill improvement as well as some of the basic rules of basketball. They will then play a 4 v 4 game.

There is a coach on the court for instruction and we do not keep score in this age group. This age group plays with a 27" ball and 8 foot goals.

Players may request to play with their friends if they would like to be on the same team.
